On the water
The reason most people fly here. A no-take reef monument off the East End, a wall you reach from the sand at Cane Bay, day sails from the Christiansted boardwalk, and Lang Bank's fishing grounds a few miles offshore.
On land
Dry hills on the East End, rainforest in the west. Hike a 672-foot summit, walk to tide pools through the forest, drive Mahogany Road under the canopy, or play a Robert Trent Jones Sr. course above the sea.
History & culture
Seven flags have flown over this island. Danish forts and warehouses still line both harbors, Alexander Hamilton grew up on Company Street, and Salt River marks where Columbus's crew first landed on what is now U.S. soil.
Food, rum & drink
Rum has been distilled at Estate Diamond since 1760. Add the world's first breadfruit vodka, a rainforest bar with famous beer-drinking pigs, Crucian plates like pate and kallaloo, and dinner from the boardwalk to Church Street.
