Nonstops fly from Miami year-round, plus Charlotte, Atlanta, Chicago and Newark (from October 31, 2026) in season; and if you're already in the Caribbean, Cape Air, JetBlue and Fly The Whale cover the short hops from San Juan, St. Thomas and Nevis — with Seaborne's seaplane landing right in Christiansted Harbor.

San Juan is both a direct destination and the island's main connecting hub — flights from elsewhere in the Caribbean and from Panama City connect through San Juan rather than flying nonstop to St. Croix.
Coming from Europe or Canada?
There are no nonstop flights to St. Croix from Europe, Canada, or anywhere outside the U.S. mainland and the nearby Caribbean. Connect through a U.S. gateway (most often Miami, Charlotte, or Atlanta) or through San Juan, then take the short hop across. Because St. Croix is a U.S. territory, non-U.S. visitors clear U.S. customs at that first mainland airport, not on the island.
From St. Thomas
Beyond Cape Air's nonstop, Fly The Whale flies the airport-to-airport hop up to a dozen times a day, and Seaborne's seaplane crosses from Charlotte Amalie harbor straight into Christiansted Harbor in about 25 minutes — one aircraft flies the route in 2026, so check the current schedule. The QE IV ferry runs Charlotte Amalie to Gallows Bay in a bit over two hours ($70 one way / $120 round trip at last check, no Tuesday service).
At the airport
Rent a car (see renting a car); Christiansted is about 15 to 20 minutes east, the East End 30 to 40, Frederiksted 10 to 15 west. You drive on the left. No passport for U.S. citizens; there is a U.S. pre-departure and agriculture check on the way home.
